## What is the Body pillar?

The Body pillar is the wise stewardship of movement, strength, sleep, nutrition, rest and energy, because your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). It treats health as worship and capacity for service — not vanity, punishment or comparison — and takes rest as seriously as training.

> Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
>
> — 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

## The daily practice

Move with purpose, and decide how to recover and fuel well.

## Signs it is slipping

- Chronic tiredness is being mistaken for a spiritual dry spell.
- Sleep keeps losing to one more episode or one more scroll.
- Exercise feels like punishment, or has become about appearance.
- You have no energy left over for the people closest to you.

## Self-check (rate each 1–5)

- I move or train consistently in a way that fits my current capacity.
- My sleep, recovery, and nutrition usually support the work God has given me.
- I pursue health as stewardship rather than punishment, vanity, or comparison.

## A seven-day body reset

1. Take a purposeful twenty-minute walk and thank God for what your body can do.
2. Set tonight's bedtime and protect a realistic wind-down window.
3. Build one meal around protein, plants, water, and gratitude rather than perfection.
4. Complete a simple strength session suited to your current ability.
5. Notice your midday energy and adjust one habit that regularly drains it.
6. Choose active recovery: mobility, a gentle walk, hydration, and an earlier night.
7. Review the week by energy, consistency, and service—not appearance.
