# The Purpose Pillar (Business)

## What is the Purpose pillar?

The Purpose pillar is the faithful use of your gifts, work, relationships, money and influence for God's Kingdom. You were created in Christ "to do good works, which God prepared in advance" (Ephesians 2:10), so purpose is less about discovering one grand plan and more about doing the next faithful assignment well — at work, at home, and with the people already around you.

> For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
>
> — Ephesians 2:10

## The daily practice

Complete the next obedient thing with excellence.

## Signs it is slipping

- You are waiting for perfect clarity before taking any step.
- You consume advice, books and podcasts instead of doing the work.
- Your gifts are sitting unused, or only used for yourself.
- Work feels completely separate from your faith.

## Self-check (rate each 1–5)

- I know the most important assignment God has placed in front of me right now.
- I regularly use my gifts, work, relationships, or resources to serve other people.
- I finish meaningful work instead of waiting for perfect clarity or motivation.

## A seven-day purpose reset

1. Write the one faithful assignment already in front of you in a single sentence.
2. List the people, gifts, responsibilities, and opportunities God has already entrusted to you.
3. Block forty-five focused minutes and move the assignment forward before consuming more advice.
4. Serve one person without needing recognition, leverage, or a future return.
5. Ask a wise believer what strength or calling they consistently see in you.
6. Finish and release one small piece of meaningful work instead of polishing indefinitely.
7. Review the fruit, character, and next faithful step—not just the visible outcome.
